چکیده

On the basis of AVHRR GIMMS NDVI and MODIS NDVI, we constructed monthly NDVI sequences covering Northeast China from 1982 to 2009 using a per-pixel unary linear regression model. The expanded NDVI passed the consistency check and were well used for analysis. The monthly NDVI trends were highly correlated with climatic changes. Spatially averaged NDVI in summer exhibited a downward trend with

Monitoring start of season in Alaska with GLOBE, AVHRR, and MODIS data

[1] This work evaluates whether continuity between Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) is achievable for monitoring phenological changes in Alaska. This work also evaluates whether NDVI can detect changes in start of the growing season (SOS) in this region. Six quadratic regressi...

Comparison and Evaluation of Annual NDVI Time Series in China Derived from the NOAA AVHRR LTDR and Terra MODIS MOD13C1 Products

Time series of Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) derived from multiple satellite sensors are crucial data to study vegetation dynamics. The Land Long Term Data Record Version 4 (LTDR V4) NDVI dataset was recently released at a 0.05 × 0.05° spatial resolution and daily temporal resolution. In this study, annual NDVI time series that are composited by the LTDR V4 and Moderate Resoluti...

How Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) Trendsfrom Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) and Système Probatoire d'Observation de la Terre VEGETATION (SPOT VGT) Time Series Differ in Agricultural Areas: An Inner Mongolian Case Study

Detailed information from global remote sensing has greatly advanced our understanding of Earth as a system in general and of agricultural processes in particular. Vegetation monitoring with global remote sensing systems over long time periods is critical to gain a better understanding of processes related to agricultural change over long time periods. This specifically relates to sub-humid to ...

NDVI-Based Long-Term Vegetation Dynamics and Its Response to Climatic Change in the Mongolian Plateau

The response of vegetation to regional climate change was quantified between 1982 and 2010 in the Mongolian plateau by integrating the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) Global Inventory Modeling and Mapping Studies (GIMMS) normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) (1982–2006) and the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) NDVI (2000–2010). Average NDVI values f...

پایش خشکسالی با استفاده از تصاویر سنجنده مودیس (MODIS) در مناطق خشک(مطالعه موردی: مراتع استان یزد)

Drought is a natural and climatic phenomenon that occurs in world wide areas every year and occurrence becomes an inevitable issue. This phenomenon is impaired in ecosystem. Arid rangeland ecosystems are a significant part of our land that is brittle systems that climatic changes are useful to simply unfounded destruction. Therefore, drought identifying and monitoring valid descriptive statisti...
